Who makes Cardhigher, where the cards come from and what is stored about you. No fine print, because there is none.

Trademarks

Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana and Star Wars: Unlimited are trademarks of their respective owners: Wizards of the Coast, The Pokémon Company, Konami, Bandai, Ravensburger and Fantasy Flight Games.

Cardhigher is a fan project. It is not sponsored, endorsed or authorised by any of those companies, and has no connection to them. Card images are served from each game’s public databases and belong to their owners.

Where the data comes from

Each game’s data comes from public databases: Magic: The Gathering — Scryfall · Pokémon Trading Card Game — Pokémon TCG API · Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game — YGOPRODeck · One Piece Card Game — OPTCG API · Disney Lorcana — Lorcast · Star Wars Unlimited — SWU-DB.

Prices are the market prices those same sources publish, in whichever currency each one uses, and they update when the data updates: the exact date is at the bottom of the home page. Cardhigher does not calculate prices and does not advise buying or selling anything.

What is stored about you

There are no accounts, no emails, no passwords and no tracking cookies. Your best streaks, your preferences and the name you play under stay in your own browser’s storage, and settings has a button that wipes them.

If you submit a streak to the leaderboard, the server stores the name you type, the streak and a random identifier from your browser — so you keep the same row — along with a daily count per IP address that exists to stop bulk submissions. None of that is shared with anyone or used for anything else.

If you write something through the feedback button, the text is stored and nothing else: no email is asked for because there is no reply to send.

Links to shops

Some cards carry a link to look them up in shops. Some of those links are affiliate links: if somebody buys after going through one, Cardhigher earns a commission from the shop, and the price is the same for the buyer either way.

That has no effect on which cards come up or which prices are shown: the prices are the data source’s and the deal is random.
